What is the difference between “Update from Chart” and “Validation”?
When accessing a client insurance claim, users will notice two key options in the upper right corner: Update from Chart and Validate. Each serves a distinct purpose in ensuring claim accuracy and readiness.

Update from Chart
- Purpose: To retrieve and tag the most current client information.
- Action: Select this option to automatically pull the latest Insurance, associated Service Documents, and Address from the client's chart.
- Benefit: Helps maintain accuracy and consistency across claim records by ensuring all relevant data is up to date.
Validation
- Purpose: To confirm the claim is complete and ready for submission.
- Action: Select this option to run an internal check that verifies all required data is present.
- Benefit: Identifies any missing or incorrect information, allowing the user to make necessary corrections before submitting the claim to the payor.
