Understanding Client Search Fields
What is the difference between the two search fields available on screens like Client Census, Client List, and Client Tasks.
🔎 Search Clients - Upper right side of screen
- Location: Upper right side of screen
- Function: Responsive real-time search — results appear as you type.
- Scope: Searches entire database regardless of current screen or filters applied.
- Purpose: Designed to allow users to search historical or archived client records.
🔍Search Clients - Left side of screen
- Location: Left side of screen, typically, under the page header.
- Function: Passive search — you must press Enter to initiate.
- Scope: Searches based on filters applied and available data on screen. For example, if user filters for active then only active clients are visible
- Purpose: Ideal for targeted searches
